A Fictional Reality Created In Houdini And Unreal Engine

Without constraints of the physical world, extremely complex objects or forms that cannot be
built using today’s fabrication and construction technology are often seen as alien, strange,
and unreal. On the other hand, fictional environments created in advanced game engines such as Unreal Engine often feel very realistic. This course, The Real Unreal, is an experiment that
requires us to insert those strange alien objects into the hyper-realistic virtual environment. A
paradox is created by combining the impossible with the hyper-realistic, but simultaneously, a
strong sense of reality emerges. If we believe the quantum physics scientist’s argument, there
is no question about the existence of such reality as we can see it in the virtual world.
